The Children's Project of Palm Beach County

The Early Childhood Initiative Foundation, spearheaded by David Lawrence Jr., the founding chair of The Children's Trust in Miami-Dade, is sponsoring The Children's Project of Palm Beach -- a study to determine the feasibility of organizing and building a powerful children's movement of Florida that will significantly shape the state's priorities for children.

This project is countywide in it's outreach to educate and inform Palm Beach County residents about essential issues regarding children, a campaign to ensure that Palm Beach County children are prepared and ready to learn in school -- and enabled to succeed in life.

To that end, Dave Lawrence of The Early Childhood Initiative Foundation (www.teachmorelovemore.org) has organized the Children's Project of Palm Beach. The campaign, which is running during April and May, is funded by the W.K.Kellogg Foundation (www.wkkf.org). The goal during these two months is to determine to what extent grassroots organizational efforts and media messages can educate and inform the public about a statewide movement for children.

This non-partisan campaign seeks to measure the paths through which citizens receive and absorb new information about programs focused on the healthy development of children. All information gathered will be used to help prioritize resources to benefit children and their families.
