The Mission

The mission of Children in Crisis, Inc is to "Provide Homes and Establish Hope" to the abused, neglected and abandoned children in the communities the organization serves. As a program of The Children's Neighborhood, Children in Crisis, Inc. provides an emergency shelter for young children and group foster homes in an attempt to curtail the severe shortage of foster parenting in the community. Children in Crisis believes that by working together, solutions can be found within the community for the children in need and that a difference can be made in the lives of these kids.

About The Children's Neighborhood

Blessings House helps with the shortage of foster parents in the community and The Susanna Wesley House Emergency Shelter provides a home to children removed, on short notice, from unsafe environments. Prior to the opening of The Children's Neighborhood, children were being placed in foster care situations that were less than ideal; in-home placements with sibling separation, homes with too many foster children, out of county placements and movement from foster home to foster home.
